{NS Helmet}  NINETY SIX WILDCATS                             STATE CHAMPIONS 1932, 1962, 1982, 2000, 2001 Wildcat JV Drops Close Decision       The JV football team opened the season with a close 18-15 loss to Saluda Thursday night.    The Wildcats were hampered by a mishandled punt that was picked up and returned for a touchdown late in the second quarter.  The Wildcats got touchdown runs from Jaquon Louden and Brandon Cheatham.  Quarterbacks Blake Smith and Cheyenne Bodie also played well.  Smith connected on several passes, mostly to receiver Anthony Conway, to set up the Wildcat's first score.    The Wildcats will be back in action next Thursday when they travel to Crescent.
