The Wildcat Way

There is a way…and then there is the Wildcat Way. The Wildcat Way is a higher road for our student athletes, coaches, parents and fans. This is what we want to infuse into our athletic program from top to bottom in every sport both male and female.

For our student athletes the Wildcat Way is a road of dedication, commitment, and hard work. It’s a work ethic that takes more. The Wildcat Way not only instills the will to win but the class to do so graciously and with courtesy to our opponents. It is also the courage to handle a defeat yet get back up and work toward victory.

Our coaches have created the Wildcat Way. In every sport they exhibit the highest qualities of teaching our student athletes what it take to win games, but more so, they teach our athletes what it takes to be winners in the game of life. When that student athlete is faced with a calculus problem that they think they cannot do and many people may just quit, our coaches have instilled our Wildcat Way…Did you quit when you were down 2-0 in a volleyball match? Did you quit when you were down 12-6 at halftime? So why would you give up on a calculus problem?

For our fans and parents the Wildcat Way is one of recognizing that all participants in our sports programs are students, teenagers who chose to participate in athletics. We as fans and parents must support them in a positive manner in all their undertakings. We understand that they will make mistakes during games just as we all do during life. We will encourage student athletes to learn from mistakes, correct them, and master what is needed to produce winners. Most of all the Wildcat Way is to respect each and every student and to speak with pride and admiration of all participants in all extra- curricular activities.

The Wildcat Way…It runs through us all. It will be present in every decision in every sport. Every sport will have the tools necessary to instill the Wildcat Way. We want to have winners in all areas of competition and the journey of life. Go Cats!
