· Seventeen year olds who will turn 18 on or before the date of the general election can register to vote in the primary elections. Individuals who reach the age of 18 on or before November 4, and who are otherwise qualified to register to vote, can register with their county voter registration office and be eligible to vote in the June 10 primaries. State law allows for this practice since the primary election is the nominating process for the general election, making it, in effect, part of the same election. The last day to register to vote in the primaries is May 10. The last day to register to vote in the general election is October 4.
· Any student that has not received their tardy card needs to see Mr. Evans to pick it up. It is very important that you get your tardy card.
· Yearbooks are on sale for $65. See Mr. Burch if interested.
· The permit test is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23, in the media center after school. You no longer have to show your social security card if you take it here at school. You do have to have it if you go to the Department of Motor Vehicles. SIGN UP IN THE MAIN OFFICE IF YOU WILL BE 15 ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 23, 2008.
· There will be a mandatory Student Council meeting on Tuesday, April 22 at 7:30 a.m. in Mrs. Kelly’s room. All members are asked to be present.
· Senior group pictures will be made on Tuesday, April 22 at 11:00. You must bring your cap and gown with you.
· The new gym locker room is still off limits during the school day. Students are not to be in the locker room unless they are accompanied by a staff member.
· FCA will meet Wednesday morning at 7:30 in room 112.
· The FCA Officers will meet Thursday morning at 7:30 in the Conference Room.
· Homework Center will be held in the library on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:20 – 4:40.
· After School Detention is now held in the Computer Lab from 3:20 until 4:20 on Monday and Wednesday.
