Procedures for School Closings

Or Delayed Openings








Decisions regarding delays or closings will be made by the Superintendent.



Information on school closings or delayed openings will be communicated to radio and TV stations by 6:00 a.m. Listen to your radio and TV for this information. Please do not call schools or district personnel.



Most radio and TV stations will be notified of District 52 delays or school closings.

WCZZ 1090 AM

WZLA 92.9 FM

WSSL 100.5 FM

WLMA 1350 AM

WJMZ 107.3 FM

TV Stations:

WYFF-TV Channel 4

WSPA-TV Channel 7

WLOS-TV Channel 13


DELAYS

If a decision is made to delay school opening, radio and TV stations will be informed by 6:00 a.m. In the case of a delay, the announcement will state when students should report to school.



Morning child development classes are cancelled on delayed opening days. Full-day kindergarten students will report to school with other classes in the school.
