Updated eLearning Days Plan 2025-2026
This district is designated as an eLearning District. Those districts who meet the criteria for an eLearning District as determined by the Department of Education may use up to five eLearning days to allow for the make-up of short-term disruptions to in-person teaching and learning.
Expectations
Greenwood School District 52 is a Google District. All teachers have a Google Classroom that houses information for their classes, assignments to be completed, direct link to assignments, and contact information for how to access the teachers throughout the district. Each teacher has a link to their Google Classrooms on their school website.
For eLearning days, all teachers have recorded lessons that have been uploaded to their Google Classroom. Students are required to watch the lesson(s) for each of their teachers and then complete the information in Google classroom required for that class. The assignments may range from an online quiz based on the lesson they just watched to reading an article with the link directly attached to completing a worksheet from a packet that was sent home with the student. If the work was sent home from a packet, instructions for how to complete the assignment (including examples) will be modeled from the video uploaded to Google Classroom.
Attendance for each class will be taken based on the completion of the assignments from the eLearning day. Students will have one week from the time school is resumed in person to have all assignments complete. One week after classes have been resumed in person, final attendance counts for that day will be adjusted.
If an eLearning day is known ahead of time, students will be able to upload any and all assignments to their chromebooks in anticipation of an eLearning day. That way, students will be able to complete assignments without accessing the internet. They will be able to submit assignments as soon as they are back to school in person. If the eLearning day is not known ahead of time, each teacher’s Google Classroom will have all the information needed for the day.
Schedule
On eLearning days, teachers will be available throughout the school day during the times your child is scheduled to be with that teacher.
At Ninety Six Primary School, teachers are available from 8:30 am until 11:30 am, and 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm. Teachers can be contacted via email and are available to meet via Google Meets throughout the day during those times.
At Ninety Six Elementary School, teachers are available from 8:30 am until 11:30 am, and 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm. Teachers can be contacted via email and are available to meet via Google Meets throughout the day during those times.
At Edgewood Middle School, teachers are available during the times in which they meet their classes. For example, if a student has math first period, they would be available to contact their teacher when first period normally meets. (8:25 - 9:10) The school’s bell schedule is included on the district’s eLearning day page.

Troubleshooting
For issues with the internet on eLearning days, you can first contact your service provider. If the internet is working, but if your teacher’s Google Classroom is not working or does not have a working link for the classwork, first contact (via email) your child’s classroom teacher. If you are unable to contact the classroom teacher, reach out to your school’s principal.
